Value Unit is a unique concept in Agile Tools. It is an umbrella term for several general concepts, like product, project, service, program, and portfolio, to name a few.

There are two reasons to create your value unit structure in Agile Tools:

  1. When you create a Value Unit, you can create OKRs for them.
  2. When task management is available on the platform, every task will belong to one Value Unit. A general name for tasks (and other types) will be Value Item.

Go to Value Units from the navigation menu.

Create your Value Unit (hierarchical) structure.

You can select the type of Value Unit from a configurable list. You can create your types if the ones provided do not suffice.

Each Value Unit can have one or more teams "building" it.

Each Value Unit can be owned by one or more Organizational Units.
